The seal may relate to Urie in Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, Scotland, which was home to the Barclay family formerly of Mather's and Urie. Colonel David Barclay (1610-1686) purchased the lands and barony of Urie in 1647. This bottle may be connected with his grandson Robert Barclay, 3rd Baron Urie (1672-1747), who inherited the barony or Urie upon the death of his father in 1690. Another possible connection could be the United East India Company, which controlled Britain's trade to and from India and other Asian countries. The Company marked their bales UEIC prior to shipment from the Thameside wharves. No other bottles with this seal would appear to be recorded.

In fabulous original condition some minor loss to the Saturn string rim and some imperfections to the blown glass all original to time of manufacture otherwise perfect
