Today we are pleased to offer this well preserved antique volume on law in the state of Illinois!
A great find from a local Massachusetts estate!
This antique volume is over 152 years old!
Very well preserved for its age!
Original leather exterior is in nice condition, showing some light rubbing and soiling, general wear around the extremities including light chipping to the leather and bumping to the corners, moderate wear to the front joint, and some minor soiling and spotting to the page edges. Gilt lettering to red morocco spine label reads easily from the shelf. A well preserved antique volume!
Internally this volume is in good shape as well. Both boards remain attached to the binding; though there is heavy cracking to the front hinge, the board remains attached and will remain so if carefully handled. All page groupings remain firmly attached to the binding. Former owner’s signature to front free endpaper. Otherwise clean with no inscriptions or library markings to note.
The text block itself is VERY GOOD condition throughout. Pages show light toning from age, and there are a few spots of light foxing scattered throughout, but are otherwise very clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings. A very well preserved text block!
