The Battle of the Monkey and the Crab - Saru-Kani Kassen - an Early Japan Fairytale c1911
A rare early edition of this popular Japanese Fairytale. Comes in a soft wrapped booklet that is beautifully illustrated by Sensei Eitahu. Translated from Japanese to English by David Thompson.
Silk ties binding is still present at spine, colouring on the cover has dulled slightly and some wear to its edges. Contents are very good with pages clear and bright. Size 7x5". Part of the early Japanese fairy tale books by the T. Hasegawa publishing enterprise.
