Produced by the Survey of India, the country's official 'map maker'. This 1996 folded paper map has great detail for the for the region. At the time, official Survey of India Maps were widely sold in India, but strictly forbidden to be taken 'out of county.' 

Shimla was once the summer capital of the British Raj. But though its eccentric legacy survives, this Himalayan city has much more to offer than 19th-century memorabilia.
