This marvelous set of 4 different Aesthetic style napkin rings are created in an undetermined silver metal, each with a distinct Aesthetic design.  The Aestheticism Art Movement began in the late 19th century and wanted to explore taste, beauty and self-expression without the confines of political or moral values.
The largest ring is heavy with floral engraving and a large center cartouche without a monogram.  The second ring has two sets of bands that center a lovely engraving of flowers and arrows with "Mary" engraved in the center.  The third ring has two rows of rope style hammered banding on either side of the engraved center, bordered arrows and X's with the initials A.M.D 1910.  The fourth ring is the same style as [3] but engraved with "Evita."  There are no hallmarks, but appear to be silver plate.  Measurements for these fabulous creations are:  1)  Height=1-3/4 inches, Diameter=1-3/4 inches, 2)  Height=1-1/2 inches, Diameter=1-1/2 inches, 3) & 4)  Height=1 inch, Diameter=1-1/2 inches.   This marvelous set of 4 napkin rings have been well cared for, gently used and are in excellent antique condition.  There is some light surface scratching commensurate with age, use and polishing.  Three of the four napkin rings have monograms.  These beautiful antique napkin rings are the perfect addition to your dining service, particularly if you like the Aesthetic style!
