The UD-701N from TEAC is their flagship network DAC pre and headphone amplifier that has been designed to be at the pinnacle of audiophile amplifiers. Fitted with a newly developed discrete DAC, in a dual mono structure, powered by four high capacity toroidal transformers.

The UD-701N employs the new TEAC ?S (Delta Sigma) discrete DAC which has discrete circuitry with FPGA incorporating TEAC algorithms. The DSD signals are transmitted without any changes whilst the analogue signals have a high audio quality and PCM signals are transmitted after going through a ?S modulator and conversion to 1-bit signals. Furthermore, with the TEAC ?S discrete DAC, the signals can be played back at 384kHz/32-bit PCM and 22.5MHz DSD.

The UD-701N employs a dual mono structure, from the DAC section and analogue stage to the separate left and right torodial core transformers. The dual mono structure involves having complete mono circuits for each channel, preventing interference between channels.

The UD-701N can be used as a USB DAC/Network player but it is also a high quality analogue preamplifier. The USB DAC/Network player has two sets of coaxial and optical digital inputs, whilst the analogue preamplifier uses XLR and RCA inputs. Also, the UD-701N has a volume control that can be adjusted in very accurate 0.5dB intervals, so you can easily find the correct level.

To present signals as correct as possible to the original recordings the UD-701N is fitted with an MQA decoder that can control DAC-converted waveforms with high precision.

The UD-701N employs LDAC™ and LHDC codecs for transmitting high quality 96kHz/24-bit data. Also supporting the Qualcomm® aptX™ HD codec, which allows for 48kHz/24-bit transmission and AAC, Qualcomm® aptX™ and SBC codecs. Also this amplifier supports the music streaming apps: Spotify, Tidal and Qobuz.

The TEAC HR Audio Player is free software that can be used to play 384kHz/32-bit PCM and 22.5Mhz DSD from a Windows or Apple Mac computer.

We ship all our orders from depot in the heart of Birmingham.
We provide FREE next day delivery on all of our UK orders, so long as you complete your order before 2pm (Monday - Thursday, Excluding Bank holidays). Orders placed on a Friday morning will be delivered on the Monday. Orders placed after 2pm Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday.

  • For our UK orders we use DPD Couriers (Next Day Delivery) who provide a personal tracking numbers with a one-hour delivery slot on the day of delivery. For smaller UK orders we use Royal Mail (1st Class).
  • For our international orders we employ eBays Global Shipping Programme (GSP). Which is highly recommended for its costs and efficiency. All the international orders are sent to a GSP depot here in the UK, before onward international shipping. You will get emails updating you on the progress of your order throughout the delivery process

We do not allow local pick-up for eBay orders, but if this is necessary please contact us prior to making your purchase and we can make arrangements for you.

For combined shipping you will need to add the items to your basket before paying for them, and then we will send them out together. For international orders eBay GSP calculates the shipping cost, which normally charges extra for additional items based on weight.
