Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Martin Tyroff' after 'Johann Jacob Scheuchzer'. Martin Tyroff (Augsburg; 1704-1759) was a German draughtsman and engraver. Through marriage he later overtook the Nuremberg business of engraver/publisher Christoph Weigel. Johann Jakob Scheuchzer (Zurich; 1672-1733) was a Swiss scholar.
