It is not difficult to determine if a Hastings piston ring set will fit a certain piston. You must measure the height of the piston groove on the piston itself. The top 2 slots will be for the compression rings, the bottom slot will be for the oil ring. In most cases, Hastings oil rings are low tension 3-vent flexible type. Ring heights are listed for reference. Technical tip: Oversized piston. For each oversized cylinder, the diameter will increase by 0.010" (0.254 mm).
