Add Cedars to your railroad layout. These can work as pines, but to us, they look more like a Cedar or Cypress tree, but use your imagination and decide how best to add them into your scene.
We are primarily a Nursery, growing and selling trees, like Fruit Trees... but this time we are tree-makers. We have been making scenery for our model trains and wargaming tables for almost 60 years! We made trees to offer for your own scenic landscapes.
Now what this Set is, 5 Evergreens, stands about 4 to 6 inches tall, made from wire and twine fibers, good for HO/N/O Scale. What we did was to take wire and cut pieces of twine fibers, and twisted them together (bottle-brush technique). Then they were trimmed them into an evergreen shape. Conifers are typically conical, so thats how we made ours. Then we flocked them with spray glue and Scenic Woodlands turf blend flocking. Then they were sprayed lightly with a clear sealant. There you go... a bunch of trees! Too tall? Trim them... We left the stems long so you could adjust to your own needs. These took a lot of work to make, but we think they came out really nice.
Caution... these are brittle, handle with gentleness.
Yes, you can make your own, it's easy, and we encourage you to make your own scenery if you can. You should be able to find trees and plants from your yard, the empty lot, all over... One tree can produce a lot! But... if you can't make your own, or just don't have the time, then consider these.

Our intent is to offer some trees for your projects. Up close, they look "dorky", but as you check the pictures, in the grander scheme, they can look pretty good. Add bushes, rocks, logs, and other embellishments, and make your forest scene come to life.
