Five Tier

Temple Bells

We offer a set of five antique brass or bronze Chinese tiered temple bells. Four of the five bells are decorated with large banana leaves and small flowers against a red ground while the second largest bell is decorated with fans against a red ground. All the bells are painted black on the interiors. The bells show use with dings and wear to the finish. The smallest bell is missing the ring for hanging to an upper bell. The largest bell measures 2 1/4” in height and 6” in diameter. The next bell measures 2 1/8” in height and 4 15/16” in diameter. The third bell measures 1 3/4” in height and 4 1/4” in diameter. The fourth bell measures 1 5/8” in height and 3 5/8” in diameter. The smallest bell measures 1 1/8” in height and 2 1/8” in diameter.

Unmarked, the tiered bells are attributed to late nineteenth century Chinese production.
