ORREFORS Art Deco Engraved Vase Male Nude with Harp by Lindstrand Rare
Vicke Lindstrand's, stylized nude figures for the Orrefors glass company in Sweden at the height of the Art Deco era in 1939.
Vase features an engraved male figure playing a life-sized harp, decorating a thick-walled vase with wavy interior glass walls.
Lindstrand was the company's leading designer just before he moved to the Uppsala-Ekeby firm in 1940.
He generated a heightened illusion of movement within the crystal, there is bubbling within the design that extends to the vase top.
Measures: 9" Tall x 5 5/8" Top x 3 5/8" Bottom
NOTE: Bottom of vase there is a VERY Tiny chip. Normal scuffing at bottom of vase.
When sitting on shelf the chip being on the underside of the vase can't be seen. The chip measures 1/16 x 3/16 inches.
