Half-title, followed by h/c frontispiece, h/c engraved title, letterpress title, imprimatur, [v], 326, [iv, publisher's cat.] pp, interspersed with a further 5 full-page hand-coloured plates (making 7 in total), and numerous woodcuts in the text. With original cloth front wrap and spine retained and bound in at rear. Ex-libris 'Frank Warren' with his bookplate on front pastedown. Bound in three-quarter red crushed morocco over pale rede cloth, raised bands to spine with gilt lettering and date, and gilt decoration. Binder's signature 'Morrell. Binder. London.' on top edge of fly leaf. Size: 8vo (24.7cm x 16.2cm).

Very Good condition in a Near Fine binding. Minor rubbing to edges. Some light foxing, primarily to the first and last gatherings of leaves, though appearing occasionally elsewhere. Light age-toning to plates, but predominantly to rear. Please ask if you require a more detailed condition report, or view gallery images closely.

A scarce example of this account of the 1845-46 fox hunting season, in a fine Morrell binding, and with hand-coloured plates after Henry Alken. There is a good 4-page Ackermann catalogue at rear. The original cloth front wrap have been retained, and are bound in at the rear.
