A rare and extremely attractive nautical map of the NORTHERN PORTION of MADAGASCAR, issued in 1873, by the British Admiralty.

This chart shows details from CAPE St. ANDREW, in the south, to ANTONGIL BAY, in the north.

Features both nautical and inland detail noting both topographical features and thousands of depth soundings (in fathoms). Important ports, Island and navigational points are carefully noted.

Originally published by the British Admiralty in 1873.

This 1873 edition has printed corrections to 1925.
