Photograph Notes: I discovered the other one of these here, so have taken its partner for completion. This is a very unusual sign as the research I've done tells me it's not a standard national version, as uses Gill Sans bold font, rather than MOT or earlier national fonts. The reason for this being although these signs were usually made to the national standard, these use the font used by British Rail on their signs until 1965. This would have been made before 1963 as the design was superseded by the modern red triangle with the details and lightning bolt inside as per [[[2794692]]] on the crossing on the main road here. The signs are mandatory on level crossings with overhead power cables.
