Antique Hampden Watch Co. Railway Special 23 Jewel, 18 Size Gold Filled Pocket Watch

• Circa: 1897
• Case: 54mm (18 size) Yellow Gold Filled Smooth Screw Off Case made by the Keystone Case Co. and signed: Keystone, Victory and 10K Rolled Gold Plate. Case is in excellent condition with no brass showing through. One small dent in the case back. (see photo)
• Bezel: Smooth screw off yellow gold filled. Bezel screws off in order to pull out the lever to set the hands.
• Movement: American-made hand-wind mechanical, 23 jewel, lever set Railway Special movement is adjusted and has a safety pinion. 
• Movement signed: Railway Special and Canton, Ohio.
• Dial: Gorgeous original, special rare white porcelain dial with metallic gold accents, black Arabic numeral hour markers and black hands. The dial is in great condition. It has four light cracks in the porcelain originating at the subsidiary seconds and extending toward the 2 and 3 o'clock.
• Crystal: Plexi with some light scratches.
• Movement Serial # 1054369, Case Serial # 5313685.
• Box and papers: Includes a cloth pouch.
• Condition: Excellent antique, runs well and keeps good time.
