I don't like to use the word "perfect" much when describing vintage items, because everyone can find a flaw with anything if they look closely enough. But this is as close to perfection as I could imagine. I see NO chips, no scratches, no flaws of any type. The lid fits well and works fine. This is also a nice version of Cut-to-Clear work, with a leaping deer crossing a fence, some Linden trees on either side, and a small European castle on the back... and lots of difficult wheel work all over.
