If you are looking for replacement headers for your 944 Turbo read this.

I'm fortunate to have a lift at my house which makes working on these cars much easier. I was noticing an exhaust smell in the cabin. After chasing it down and replacing hatch seals which didn't solve it I put it on my lift and discovered a leak coming from the header heat shields. I went here on Ebay and purchased 3 different sets that were listed "no leaks or cracks". Unfortunately all of them had leaks and cracks. The only way to truly tell if they leak is to pressure test them.

I made a rig to test them with compressed air. After years of service they ALL crack in the same spot. It's usually the 2/3 header. The headers are made of a special alloy called Inconel. The same alloy is still used in F1 cars today. I found a local shop that can weld Inconel. And all is now good on my car.

I still have a few sets of the headers I bought on here. I've removed the shields to expose the crack. The heat shields will be included.

Don't wast your money and time buying used headers listed as no leaks. Get one and strip it down and take it to a good shop and have them weld and back purge it then spotweld the heat shields back in place. Or just buy a set of SFR at $1200. But if you're on a budget buy these and fix them right a be done with it for another 30 years.
