ITEM DESCRIPTION

Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume by Eliza Chester!

A great find from a local New England estate!

This scarce antique volume is over 132 years old!

Original publisher hardcover cloth binding is in good shape overall.  Binding is just ever so slightly cocked.  Wear includes rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, a library sticker pasted to the front board, a library catalog sticker pasted to the spine, some general wear around the extremities including light bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and some soiling and spotting to the page edges.  Otherwise this is a tight, well-preserved antique volume!  The gilt title lettering displays nicely from the shelf.

Internally, this volume is in good shape as well, with both boards attached to the binding and all page groupings secure.  This is an ex-library volume with bookplates and library markings visible to the front and rear endpapers and fly pages, as well as the tile page and copyright page.  Otherwise this volume is clean and free from signatures and inscriptions.

The text block of this volume is clean overall. There is just typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as some light soiling and foxing (the heaviest of which is visible in Chapter 1)but otherwise this volume is very clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings.  Perfectly readable throughout!

Make sure to see the additional photos in the description below for a thorough look through this volume.

213 pages.

Measures approximately 7 1/2 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide by 1 inch thick.

A perfect addition to any fine collection or a wonderful gift for someone special!
