Antique Micro Beaded Sterling Silver Frame Handbag  Fruit And Flowers.

Beautiful micro bead and sterling silver frame handbag. This is a larger bag so it is probably from the Edwardian era. The background beads are clear. Decorating the front and repeated on the back are a variety of beautiful, bright, colorful flowers in reds, pinks, yellows and blues with a cluster of purple grapes draped over a basket. A yellow butterfly floats above all of this beauty. The frame is marked Sterling and is etched with flowers and scrolled leaves and a striped design and is quite substantial. The kiss lock is in the form of rose buds. The interior fabric is blue moire and has 1 pleated pocket. There are some torn areas.  Unmarked. Even with the imperfections this is just a lovely handbag. Hopefully someone will know how to repair and save this beauty. Would be a great addition to any handbag collection. Will display beautifully.

All measurements are approximate:

Bag measures 11 3/4" long to the top of the frame x 9 1/4" wide at the widest area.
Chain drop 8 3/4" to the top of the frame
.Frame measures 8" wide  x 2 1/8"  at the shoulders.

Good antique condition to commensurate with age and use.  Most of the loss is at the top portion of the bag, more on one side than the other. The beaded fabric has pulled away from the frame at the hinge area on both sides, ( unable to photo this no photo space left) the interior fabric has 2 areas where it is torn. One side of the frame is a little looser than the other side, but stays closed. The chain is not sterling.

Please remember this is a no return.
