PAIR PLATES, pottery.  Diameter 9-1/2 inches. 
Blue transfer print of "BATALHA, PORTUGAL" pattern. 
Batalha is 50 miles north of Lisbon, Portugal.
The large building is the Dominican Monastery  which contains the remains of Henry the Navigator. 
Unknown maker.  Staffordshire. c.1830,  Late Georgian period

Mark: Title in ribbon on reverse with a rose spray. 
Condition: good.
