Title: Documents and Photographs - Vietnam 1972 - 1977]*

Description:

A collection of school reports, certificates and black and white photographs of Ngo Thanh Nhuan, a Vietnamese man born in Saigon in 1961. Collected together in a folder from Ho So Hoc Sinh a prominent school in Vinh, the folder contains 35 documents mostly school registration materials and certificates together with 62 black and white photographs. The photographs show family members and friends posing, Buddhist ceremonies and processions from before the fall of Saigon and two show groups of boy scouts.

A worn folder containing the personal ephemera of a man born in Saigon in 1961, documenting his childhood and early adulthood. The documents end approximately two years after the fall of Saigon and the unification of Vietnam, at which point he presumably migrated to the United States. The lot includes 35 documents, primarily school registration materials and organizational certificates, and 62 black and white snapshots, some with identifying inscriptions on the back in Vietnamese. Photos are largely of family members and friends, with a number showing Buddhist processions and ceremonies from before the fall of Saigon, and two showing groups of Boy Scouts in uniform. A number of photos are lovely pocket-size studio portraits, but most are from a hand-held personal camera.
