Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Thomas de Leu' after own design. Thomas de Leu / Leleu / de Leeuw / Le Loup (Flemish; b. Antwerp; 1560-1612) was active in Paris from 1575 in the workshop of Jean Rahel. He married a daughter of Antoine Caron. He was influenced by the Wierix brothers and was considered one of the most important portrait engravers of his time.

Condition: Good, given age. Thread margins. Sheet ribbed (from glue remains). A small rust stain and pinprick hole in the top right corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
