It connects to the release button on any Hasselblad or other brand camera that has a standard mechanical cable release connection. It can also be connected to the electric Hasselblad motor driven models with a release adapter. It changes the path of the release cable by 45 degrees, allowing you to work around a variety of large items when attached to the camera. Those items include professional lens shades, the PC-mutar, bellows units, etc. It is also a useful tool with other camera systems and very useful with large format lenses mounted on small lens boards.
