Photograph Notes: This picture shows the derelict upper lock of the double lock system on the disused Thames and Severn Canal east of Dudgrove Farm. Nearest the viewer is an ivy-clad barrier which is at the probable position of the top gate. The concavely carved stones on either side indicate where the gate would have been installed. Further down, the middle gate can be seen, and further down still is the bottom gate. The upper lock is filled with rubbish, mainly corrugated metal sheets.
