Set of two medium size Colored Stained Decorative Glass Insulators.

We create each one of these stained glass insulators in our 150-year-old converted Tobacco Barn shop. I call it the bro barn.  Staining glass is a slow, painstaking process. These are authentic, approximately 100-year-old clear glass insulators that we have enhanced with glass stain applied as a spray aerosol. The non-porous nature of glass requires many light coats, each one needing a considerable amount of care and drying time. Then we coat each one with a diamond clear coat, making them more scratch resistant,  UV protected and providing more shine and luster. When finished,  the orange color catches the sunlight beautifully. We search for insulators in perfect condition, but because they are approximately 100 years old, often they will sometimes have a small imperfection or 2.  These items sat up high on a pole and were subjected to rain, heat, wind, electricity, birds, and other elements for many decades. Your insulator might have a small scratch of a tiny ding, but it will definitely not have any easily discernable chips, cracks, or sharp edges, and the staining process hides almost all imperfections.  If you are not satisfied for any reason with your items, simply reach out to us. We are friendly, and we always believe that there is a mutually equitable solution.  We always try to ship on the same day if possible. Thank you for considering our listing.
