Luftwaffe watch for sale made by Alpina. The contract service, Swiss-made Luftwaffe watch with standard nickle-silver case. The black dial bearing the Alpina name, 1-12 hour digits, and subsidiary seconds at 18.00hrs.
The screw case-back in stainless steel and with the standard six indents for opening/closing. The case-back impressed with the Luftwaffe 'D' prefix and serial number. The inside to the case-back stamped with the Alpina name. The movement with nicely finished steel bridges, bears the Alpina name and calibre type '592' to the main bridge. The movement with fine regulation, and screw balances to the wheel.
Condition report: Case in generally decent condition. The chrome finish largely erased from the top, to reveal the nickle-silver. Typical age-spotting to the dial. The Alpina maker-name clear. The case-back in overall good condition, particularly for this watch style. The movement clean and fresh-looking. The watch keeps right time. No warranty implied. The watch is over 80 years old.
