Heavy duty hardwood cheese press for home cheese makers. A lot of stress is applied to this type of press and this one can handle it all. Made of  hardwood and all members are one solid piece, nothing flimsy! It will last a lifetime. 

This type of press is the most desirable because it consistently applies a steady pressure as your cheese shrinks from draining whey ( the spring operated presses can not accomplish this). This large cheese press will accommodate molds up to 9" wide and you can stack molds up to 13" in height.

 It will multiply the weight applied by 2, 3,4 and 5 times on the last notch or any combination possible. Pressure of 2 lbs. to over 200 pounds are possible although you are unlikely to use such pressure unless pressing a very large 9" stubborn cheddar that will not knit easily. The press can be disassembled for easy storage if desired. Clean with warm soapy water and dry promptly after each use. This press should last you a lifetime. It was finished with a coating of Tung oil and subsequent oiling with mineral oil is possible if desired. The weights and molds of course are not included. I have used milk jugs filled with waters as weight for years. Instructions are included.
