Rhodesian Bush War Veteran Estate. There were four companies making
uniforms for the Rhodesian Army during the war. As the war progressed
most money was being spent on critical munitions, weapons and spare
parts. Globally, most nations refused to accept Rhodesia
as an independent state and refused to provide aid. Smaller companies
then opened up using the same camo pattern but at a cheaper cost to the
individual soldier who needed to replace worn-out uniforms due to the
harsh terrain and intense sun.
There WERE small differences in color. The lack of a manufactory label
indicates that it was made outside the contracted companies producing
uniforms for the Army. Upon the collapse of Rhodesia in 1979, the new
Zimbabwe Government adopted the 2nd pattern
Brushstroke pattern and banned sale of any other generations of camouflage.
