I recently acquired a large set of Royal Doulton's "Chatham" pattern.  I will be listing these pieces in the next few days.

Royal Doulton produced the “The Chatham” pattern from 1930 – 1957 (so, now discontinued).  This is Clobbed (or over-painted by hand) pink (red) transferware.  Each has a red printed hallmark as shown in first photos, as well as hand painted numbers from the responsible factory worker. All made in England.

The pattern features multiple motifs, all pastoral with farm houses, cows , trees, fields, ruins, lakes, streams, boats and country folk.  Clobbing / hand painting predominantly green, with yellows, brownish reds, and blue.

All pieces should be hand washed only.

There may be multiple pieces in the piece type offered for sale.  Please note you are buying only ONE piece unless you change the quantity in the drop down box above. Combined shipping always applies for multiple purchases.  If you purchase more than one item (any item, not just multiples of this listing) please wait for me to invoice you on additional items so that you are charged the correct actual postage.  In the event you pay excess shipping, overage will be refunded immediately to you.

Note some photos appear redundant because I take photos from all possible angles.  On symmetrical items, these photos may appear redundant when there are no distinguishing differences or condition issues between side views.

I gladly accept returns, but please note I do not pay return postage unless there was a significant error in my description.  The item listed is being sold as is, as pictured and as described to the best of my knowledge. All dimensions and weights approximate. If you have a question or an assumption on an item prior to purchase, please ask. I much prefer to take the time on the front end to make sure you will be satisfied with your purchase.

Remember, when buying vintage expect imperfections as these items have a history and have been in the possession of others. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition – this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment. My goal is to have no rude surprises upon receipt.
