THIS IS A RARE
1977 LAMINATED STRIP OF 7 LOS ANGELES DODGERS NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES AND
WORLD SERIES PROOF TICKETS.
THEY DO NOT
HAVE SEAT LOCATIONS AND ARE MARKED VOID. AS SOON AS THE DODGERS KNEW THEY WERE
CLOSE TO THE PLAYOFFS THEY STARTED PRINTING. THIS COMPLETE STRIP OF TICKETS FOR
ALL 7 GAMES WOULD MAKE AN AWESOME ADDITION TO A SERIOUS BASEBALL COLLECTION.
IF YOU HAVE
ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK BEFORE BUYING. I DOUBT THERE ARE ANY OF THESE
AVAILABLE OR IF SO, IT WOULD BE EXTREMELY LIMITED. YOU PROBABLY HAVE NOT SEEN
AN ITEM LIKE THIS OTHER THAN PHANTOM TICKETS. THIS DESIGN WAS ACTUALLY USED. IT
WOULD LOOK VERY GOOD IN A FRAME.
THIS WOULD BE
A GREAT ITEM FOR A HISTORICAL PIECE OF BASEBALL HISTORY.
I ALSO OWN A
STRIP LIKE THIS FROM THEIR OPPONENTS, THE NEW YORK YANKEES. SEE MY LISTINGS
FOR THIS STRIP. THESE ARE THE ONLY TWO ITEMS LIKE THIS I HAVE.
The 1977
World Series was the championship series of Major League Baseball's (MLB) 1977
season. The 74th edition of the World Series, it was a best-of-seven playoff
played between the American League (AL) champion New York Yankees and the
National League (NL) champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The Yankees defeated the
Dodgers four games to two to win the franchise's 21st World Series
championship, their first since 1962, and the first under the ownership of
George Steinbrenner (who assumed ownership of the club in 1973). Played from
October 11 to 18.
During this
Series, Reggie Jackson earned his nickname "Mr. October" for his
heroics.
Billy Martin
won what would be his only World Series title as a manager after guiding the
Yankees to a second straight pennant.
