A Carpy Connection Stiff Boom is made from high-grade, 100% pure fluorocarbon, making it strong and reliable. The material is highly abrasion-resistant and its near-invisible properties make it perfect for targeting wary carp.

The stiffness of the material ensures that it won’t tangle or twist, and it won’t absorb water, making it ideal for stiff rig presentations. Yet it is supple enough to allow the hooklink to lay over any chod on the bottom.

Stiff Boom is great for creating stiff boom sections for Ronnie rigs, combi-rigs, and out-and-out stiff rigs. With a breaking strain of 35lb and only 0.55mm in diameter, this boom is a game-changing fluorocarbon that can be crimped using 0.7mm crimps , which opens up a world of uses for rig tying.

Our Stiff Boom is designed to stay straight and rigid with no need for steaming. Just pull the fluorocarbon tight and it will straighten out, eliminating any need to get the kettle out.
