 wounds, Blue passionflower.


A must for the passionfruit collector moderately vigorous small and very glamorous

 climber, with evergreen leaves and beautiful large exotic white coloured flowers, pink

 flushed with rings of white, blue and purple filaments, followed by bunches of orange

 egg shaped fruit with stunning dark red seeds.


Very easy and simple to grow and looks stunning in pots or garden beds.


Train it to a fence or around a trellis or tree trunk.


Can be used to cover, walls, fences, garages or utility areas.



Fruit



 In South America, the plant is well known for its medicinal properties. It is used in

 herbal tea, dietary supplements, as well as in marmalades, beverages, ice creams and 

 syrups. The passion flower is the national flower of Paraguay.


Passionfruit in general can be boiled down and used to make jams, sauces,

beverages, ice cream, sweet syrups, savoury sauces, pie

fillings, quick breads and cakes.
