The extra Appalachian Trail patches from the Backpacking/Hiking Program are being sold to offset the cost of the program materials and the cost of the patches and pins given to Scouts who visited the the Outdoor Recreation program at the BSA 2023 National Scout Jamboree. The six programs are Backpacking/Hiking, Orienteering, Geocaching, Landscape Photography, Brownsea Island, and Secrets of the Summit.
