We gather the majority of our items from yard sales, estate sales, flea markets, and thrift stores which have unknown histories. Most of our items come from a time when activities like smoking was common in most homes, restaurants, stores, and even hospitals. We try to either clean or just reject anything that may have an issue with this type of aroma. We process hundreds of items every month and it is challenging to catch everything there may be an issue with and due to being around these items all of the time we have most likely become accustomed to those smells.
