This fabric is a twill weave according to my magnifying glass, but it's pretty lightweight; about 3.8 ounces per square yard.

The stripes are black and white at first glance. Upon very close examination, it's possible that the black is actually a very, very dark green or blue, but I can't really tell and it's a distinction without a difference anyway: The stripes look black.

To the hand it feels a bit like mattress ticking, a little coarser than a shirting cloth but it would do for a shirt, or for a lightweight pair of pants. It's not scratchy like modern cotton fabric.

58" wide by 92" long, which is 2 1/2 yards plus 2 inches.

It falls just over the 1 lb point in weight, which makes the shipping options more expensive, especially if you're in PR or west of the Mississippi. But I am always happy to combine shipping, and I have tons of vintage fabric listed, and pretty much none of it is scratchy!
