Tsavorite is one of the most expensive types of garnet.  It is also the world’s rarest garnet. It was discovered in 1967 by British geologist Campbell R. Bridges and named by Harry Platt of Tiffany & Company and is mined in Tanzania and Kenya. Stones over 2.5 carat are rare and very expensive. Hence, many pieces of Tsavorite jewelry being paved.

Harry Platt called it, “The Rolls Royce of the Green”.

Metaphysically, Tsavorite is for benevolence and healing of the heart chakra.

It is also the birthstone for January.

John C. RINKER, the maker of these stunning earrings, is a master jeweler.  He has been in the business over 40 years.
