Impressive album containing 163 vintage photographs and postcards of Africa and ports en route, including Victoria Falls [19], Ascension Island [15], St Helena [12], the Zambezi [12], South Africa [60], other Africa [3], Mozambique [8], Kenya / Zanzibar [7], Aden [3], and Suez / Egypt [13].

Large and heavy album. Half black leather over green cloth. Gilt titling on upper cover 'South Africa 1913'. Containing a total of approx. 163 gelatin silver photographs and postcards. Several pages with brief manuscript captions in ink. Pasted on one side only (versos left blank) of thick green card leaves, three to four per page. Album weighs more than 5kg so shipping is higher than normal. Size: album - 43cm x 30cm x 5cm / photos/postcards - approx. 12cm x 9.5cm, 13.5cm x 8cm, 14cm x 9cm.
