80’s Tokyo City Pop!
The miraculous private press sound source has finally been discovered after 42 years!
The orthodox city pop content, which can be compared to Sugar Babe and So Nice, caught the attention of the staff at a used record store, and in 2022, 42 years after it was recorded, it will be re-released in three formats: CD / analog record / distribution!
From the groovy and mellow opening “I Don’t Go to New York” where guitar, bass, and synthesizer interact,
The medium funk song “One Night Darling” that follows reminds me of Tatsuro Yamashita/Paper Doll for a moment.
It's a work full of interesting things to listen to, and all the songs shine miraculously!
For this reissue, Fumio Miura produced the high-resolution sound source, and the master sound source was remixed using vintage analog equipment.
The artwork has been completely renewed by Hiroshi Nagai.
