Photograph Notes: A long exposure night telephoto shot of the City of London, as seen from Reigate Hill, around 20 miles away. We had gone up there to see if we could make out the light show that was taking place that evening to celebrate the formal completion of the Shard that day. But nothing special was visible from here (video footage viewed later suggested that the focus was on the north side of the Shard, i.e. the opposite side to that seen here). Even so, it was a clear view of the City towers, with the Shard prominent in the centre, and a good excuse to experiment with a different form of photography.
