For sale is a McIntosh MC275 power amplifier that uses 6550, 12AU7, 12AX7, 12AZ7, and 12BH7A tubes. This is an original, vintage version of the iconic amplifier, not one of the re-issues. Similarly, it comes fitted with a set of vintage tubes to complement this piece.

In terms of functionality, this unit was first carefully and slowly brought up on a variac, then taken to a technician who fully tested it, gave the switches, controls, and tube sockets a cleaning, and said that its functioning fully as it should. I’ve included a short video here showing it in action.

Cosmetically, this amp has most of its letting intact, but definitely shows its age. There is wear, scratches, pitting and other signs of age. The photos show its true condition, please refer to the them to observe for yourself.

Only essential parts were changed to make sure the amplifier is working as it should. Aside from that, to my knowledge, it has many original capacitors and parts. That means, as with all vintage items, small and large parts alike could go out at any time: capacitors, resistors, tubes, and et cetera.

Due to age, this amp and the tubes are being sold "as-is." No returns accepted.
