I've never seen a fabric quite like this in a fabric store, and I've been going to fabric stores for more than 40 years. So either it's older than that, or it was produced wholesale for clothing-factory use.

It's a yarn-dyed cotton weave, but not flannel. It's also slightly heavier than the non-flannel plaids that were popular in the 1980s; I calculate about 4 oz/sq yd.

The principal colors of the plaid are a crimson red and white, with narrower strips that appear dark green, blue, black and yellow.

Piece measures 44" wide by 104" long, which is 2 8/9 yards, or 4 inches short of 3 yards.

Some wrinkles.

Note: I am in the process of selling a large, mostly vintage fabric stash from a quilter's/sewist's estate. Always happy to combine shipping.
