Billy Art Book. Designed by Ed Ruscha, this exhibition catalogue celebrates Billy Al Bengston’s 1968 retrospective at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The sandpaper cover features flocked lettering (which Ruscha would revisit in his 1970 artist’s book Babycakes) and is bound with machine screws and hex nuts. The page marker is a pink satin ribbon, which is beginning to fray. The book includes reproductions of the forty-six exhibited works, as well as an essay by James Monte. Book is in good condition overall,  with some wear to cover including  some marks on the left side, a small crease on upper right corner, and curling up of left edges. Pages are in very good condition with the exception of the first page, which is a tissue leaf that has some marks from the cover as well as some rippling. Please view photos carefully, as they are part of the description, and ask any questions you may have.
