This exquisite 6" porcelain plate is a lovely example of early 20th century design.  Featuring hand-painted pinecones in brown, gold, and green, it is a beautifully executed work of art.

The plate has a round shape with gold edges and a satin finish, all of which add to its elegant look. This antique original piece was produced in Germany around 1912 by Uno of Bavaria for the "Favorite" line.

Condition is excellent with no scratches, chips, cracks, or crazing and with very little wear to the gold edging.

The backstamp is printed in green and reads "UNO, Favorite, Bavaria". This mark was used by C. Hutschenreuther company in Bavaria, Germany as a special export mark for the US market.  The importers were Burley & Tyrrell Co. of Chicago.  This plate may have been decorated in the studio of Jacob H. Stouffler of Adeline, IL which was known to acquire "Favorite" whiteware during the studio's operation period of 1905 to 1952 for their finest decorators to complete.
