September 17, 1988 #1 Miami rallies late with an historic comeback to stun Michigan 31-30 at The Big House.

This comeback set-up the historic 1988 "Catholics vs. Convicts" match-up between undefeated Notre Dame and Miami.

Ironically, Miami would lose by that game by the same 31-30 score, perhaps in large part by their own admission that they had to use their best 2-point conversion plays in their comeback vs. Michigan and had thus shown them to ND on film.
