Description:- VVintage Set 6 Silver Plate Furness Shipping Lines Fruit Knives by Mappin & Webb
The Furness Shipping Line ran Passanger Services from New York To Bermuda from 1919 to 1966
The handle pattern is the same as other items of cutlery made for this shipping line
Condition:- There are signs of use such as scuffs and faint scratches, and some residual tarnish to the handles
Maker:- Blades stamped for Mappin & Webb Sheffield Stainless. The Handles are not branded but are silver plated. The Shipping Line monogram simply says Furness Lines with the Flag (see photo). Other items I've seen have been stamped Furness Bermuda Lines
