1941–1985. Coach was founded in 1941, as a family-run workshop

 in a loft on 34th Street in Manhattan, 

with six leather-workers who made wallets and billfolds by hand.

Coach bags like this were made in their factory in New York City up 

until around 1980, 

when they expanded their factories to elsewhere in the U.S

THIS IS A COACH BAG. IT IS MADE OUT OF A COMPLETELY NATURAL GLOVE TANNED COWHIDE,

 THE SCARS, SCRATCHES, VEINS, 

AND WRINKLES ARE NATURAL MARKINGS CHARACTERISTIC OF FULL GRAIN LEATHERS.
