St Julia or Corsica (aka Julia of Carthage and Julia of Nonza) was a 5th century Christian martyr; born to noble parents of Carthage. She was abducted during an attack by the Vandals and sold into slavery. She was purchased by a pagan Syrian merchant named Eusebius.  Even during the most daunting chores, Julia never complained or felt sorry for herself. By being patient and cheerful, Julia was able to find comfort in her place in the world. Julia passionately loved God. When she was not working under her master's commands, Julia devoted her time toward praying and reading books of piety.  Eusebius was charmed by her commitment and devotion and took her with him when he traveled to Corsica.  The pagan governor there noticed that Julia did not take part in a pagan festival and felt she was insulting the gods.  He offered Eusebius much to buy her but was refused; Eusebius said he could not part with her.  The governor waited until Eusebius was asleep, stole Julia away, and insisted she sacrifice to the gods, which she refused to do.  He had her tortured and then, when she continued to refuse to renounce her faith in Christ, she was crucified.  St Julia is the patron saint of torture victims and pathologies of the hands and feet.

The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper. Although they are not like the usual smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages" and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the saint or Catholic devotion.
