Beautiful circular style single decade rosary with a gold-toned centerpiece that has a full color picture of St Jeanne Jugan on the front and a textured back. The centerpiece was handmade in France; the 1-1/2" gold-toned St Benedict crucifix was made in Italy; and the chaplet itself was handmade by me in our home in the USA.
The fifteen beads are all 8 mm, faceted and fire-polished Czech glass. The two Our Father beads are light sapphire blue. The 13 Hail Mary beads are alternating amethyst purple and lilac colors.

Jeanne Jugan (1792-1879) was born into a poor family in France. She was taught the Catholic faith by her mother, secretly due to the religious persecution during the French Revolution. She became known for the dedication of her life to the neediest of the elderly poor. Her service resulted in the establishment of the Little Sisters of the Poor, who care for the elderly who have no other resources throughout the world.
The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals
and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program
on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper. Although they
are not like the usual smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our
customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages"
and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the
saint or Catholic devotion.
