Our new replacement 7 pin headset is
made using a ‘Rean’ high quality DIN plug and the design is similar to the
early Autocom headsets. It is made with high quality cable and
separate cables for the mic and speakers. We have fitted a raised
head screw so that it is easy to align the plug to the socket.
BUY A PAIR AND SAVE MONEY
Many users of the later Autocom
headset have reported problems with crackling and complete failure of the
loom. Unfortunately, this means that you have to replace the complete
headset.
If you are a professional user
(riding instructor, escort rider etc.) of an Autocom system, you may have
needed to replace your headset on a regular basis.
Our headset is extremely robust
and does not suffer with the problems of the later Autocom headsets such
as the wires twisting and breaking. We offer a 12 month guarantee on
the complete headset. This includes everything except the covers for
the microphone and speakers. Just return it to us and we will repair
or replace the headset.
If you do manage to break the headset
after 12 months, as it is a ‘split’ headset, you can just replace the faulty
item rather than the complete headset.
The headset is supplied complete
with two speakers and a microphone.
The new, slimmer, 36 mm diameter
speaker drivers are likely to give a much better fit in your helmet speaker
indents. The standard Autocom speakers have larger 55 mm x 45 mm shells
that have 30 mm drivers.
The noise cancelling microphone does not pick up the interference from some of the electrical systems that can occur with the standard Autocom microphone.
