Ceramic ashtray made entirely by hand and decorated with an airbrush, signed under the base in orange "Rometti Umbertide Italy" and with catalog number.
Datable to around 1930.
Information on artist and/or manufacturer:
Rometti's artistic manufactory was founded by Settimio Rometti and his nephew Aspromonte in 1927 in Umbertide. Rometti is considered one of the greatest exponents of artistic ceramics, Art Deco and Italian Futurist, of the twentieth century, his manufacture stands out internationally for the quality and beauty of its ceramic creations, boasts the collaboration of many important artists such as Dante Baldelli or Corrado Cagli and many notable auction results. In the last photos there are historical notes of the manufacture.

Very often our prices are lower than what we could achieve by taking the objects to auction houses, but selling at auction is an extremely long process and does not produce any customers for us, so we prefer to earn less, but aim to create a excellent clientele over time, earning more on the quantity than on a higher profit on the single piece, which we could obtain by selling it in auction houses.

OUR SHIPMENTS:
.Our shipments cost a little more than the average, but they are all shipments with professional packaging. Double box with a lot of bubble wrap around the object and a lot of soft material in the large cavities on all sides between the two boxes. This means that the package is much larger and heavier and therefore the cost of shipping increases, not to mention all the work necessary to carry out a similar packaging and the cost of the various materials used.
